modular building systems

Greenview’s range of modular buildings is based upon practical experience of building requirements. They’re flexible - easy to expand or re-site, and they’re robust, made of reinforced concrete or steel frames. Put simply, they are the most practical solution for covered storage available today, used widely in agricultural, waste transfer, covered work areas, plant protection and many other applications. The sectionalised unit design makes Greenview buildings easy to assemble  too - usually in a matter of weeks - and with no ground foundations, they can be sited onto any suitable concrete base, making them a long term business asset. There are endless design possibilities with this form of storage - its versatility is a key strength.
Building walls are made from 3 metre high reinforced concrete Alfa Blocs, a robust block which withstands corrosion and vehicle knocks. Using threaded inserts to connect one block to the next, the blocks are anchored into the floor and fixed together using steel plates. Building frames can be made of either galvanised steel, bolted on top of the Alfa Blocs, or pre-stressed concrete, to create roofing support. Buildings are generally up to 7 metres in height, with a span of 15 metres.
The concrete framed buildings are the basis for Greeenview’s in-vessel composting system but are also suitable in situations where corrosion is a key factor. Multiple structures are possible utilising the centre wall and loading of bulk products aided by the robust Alfa Bloc design.
Flexible covers and doors
A variety of roof coverings are available, from simple netting covers over tubular steel for light materials and dry recyclables such as paper and plastic, to heavy duty PVC covers over standard structural steel. Polycover is a flexible, low cost option for bay covering and is available up to a width of 15 metres, while our retractable PVC concertinaed roofing enables a permanent weather barrier to move into position within seconds, controlled by electric motor and a power beam.  Greenview’s unique roof fixings make construction and dismantling fast and simple (thus building can be moved with ease).
Odour removal
For construction projects where space is limited, Greenview can install odour extraction pipes at the building rear, connected by fan, to create a negative pressure area. Air from the building can then be exhausted through bio filters, wood and bio chip matter, neatly stored inside the Alfa Blocs, thus controlling odours effectively without losing storage capacity.
This negative air extraction system is proven and used on all Greenview composting sites. It is a ‘get out of jail free’ card for use at for example waste transfer stations which are experiencing odour issues.
